NFL 2021: Tom Brady retirement, Gisele Bündchen, model, question, Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady has done everything in the NFL and while he still looks like a 20-year-old, only one person can stop him playing into his 50s.

Tom Brady thinks he can play football until age 50 — but his wife Gisele Bündchen might feel differently.

In a new instalment of Tampa Bay’s “Tommy & Gronky” series, Brady and Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski answer the internet’s most searched questions about them.

“Can Tom Brady play until 50-years-old?” Gronkowski asks — to which Brady playfully replies, ” I don’t find it so difficult … so I feel like I can play then glide into retirement [in Florida]. I think I can. It’s a ‘yes.’”

Then Gronkowski chimes in to put a “little spin” on the question.

“Will Gisele let Tom play until 50? That’s the real question,” declared Gronkowski, who is dating Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, Camille Kostek.

“That’s a way better question,” Brady said, laughing. “That was of course, no, that answer.”

While Gronkowski had a good laugh, Brady immediately backtracked, stared into the camera and sent a sweet message to Bundchen.

“I’m just kidding. I’m sorry baby, I love you. You would let me. You would let me doing anything as long as I’m happy.”

Bundchen has previously expressed concern with how long Brady plans on playing.

Brady, throughout his 20-year career with the Patriots, had always maintained that he plans to play until his mid-40s. He turned 44 last month.

In June, he did discuss playing until 50, after Bucs general manager Jason Licht said in May, “I told him if he wants to play til he’s 50 and he’s still playing and he feels like he can still play, then he can play until he’s 50.”

Brady, at the time, told USA Today, “50? That’s a long time. Even for me, that’s a long time. I’ve always said 45 was the age that I wanted to reach and that was my goal. This year I’ll be 44, so next year I’ll be 45. I got a two-year contract.”

The Bucs extended Brady’s contract this off-season in a deal that will keep the future Hall of Famer in Tampa through the 2022 season.

Brady showed no signs of slowing down in Tampa Bay’s season-opener against the Cowboys last Thursday. He started Season No. 22 by throwing for 379 yards and four touchdowns in the Bucs’ 31-29 win over Dallas.

Tampa Bay hosts Atlanta (0-1) on Sunday.
