A former NSW psychologist has been charged with raping a 15-year-old patient four years ago.
The boy was allegedly sexually assaulted during specialist appointments at Coffs Harbour on the state’s mid-north coast.
NSW Police on Thursday attended a prison in Kempsey and arrested a 55-year-old man, charging him with indecently assaulting a person under 16 years of age and aggravated sexual intercourse with a person aged between 14 and 16 years.
Police will allege in court the former clinical psychologist sexually assaulted the boy – then 15 years old – between April and May 2017.
The man was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Friday.
